My Story

My name is Caitlin Parker. Pilot's wife, mom of 2 beautiful boys and vintage obsessed!

You could say my appreciation for old things is in my blood. I grew up going to antique stores and flea markets for fun with my family. While other kids where chasing after boyfriends, I was chasing after antique dealers for a deal.

Fast forward to college and I started a vintage furniture and decor rental company for weddings and events. If you ask my college roomies; our apartment may have been furnished with some of my inventory. Picture a college party and me shouting across the room "noooo don't sit on that antique chair!". #truelife

Propelling from my rental business, I found myself in a wonderful career as a Director of Sales and Catering for a local country club. Planning weddings was a dream and I still miss it somedays. However, working in hospitality was not easy as a mother and wife of a pilot. In 2021, I made the jump from successful career woman to stay-at-home mom.

It has been such a blessing getting to be with my two boys and watching them grow! But as all parents know; sometimes you need a little escape! For me, retreating to local antique stores
has been my go-to for 'mommy time' in this season of life.

My passion for the hunt and appreciation for these little pieces of history is why I have created Parkers Mercantile.
